My suggestion would be to figure out what games you want to use it for beforehand and read up on vorpx support for them. I can believe it works for some games ok, but it was garbage for me.
#VORPX FORUMS 1080P#
Vorpx has lots of profiles in the config ("Games Settings Optimizer") for games that work well that tweak fov and set the correct 3d depth, you should use this first since it helps a lot to newcomers configuring the games, games resolution have to be set at 1080p or you will get double images, adjust mouse sensitivity for head tracking to feel more natural, and if in doubt, Ralf is quite active in the Vorpx forums, so ask there if you have any issues. To boot, they have absolutely 0 customer support, no responses to forum posts, no responses to emails, nada. Also, you get updates for all Vorpx beta and 1.x versions, so I suppose we get all the updates including those for CV1, so i think it's worth it.Ī few things you should know. Best games to try are Bioshock Infinite, Bioshock 1 and 2, Portal games, Stanley Parable, Fallout 3 / New Vegas, SKyrim to name a few. I've finished Bioshock 1, Dear Esther and they where amazing. Yes, at least at this point where there's no native vr content other than demos and experimental stuff. If you choose Z3D, you will be ok in 90% of the cases and get high persistence. Still you will probably get 60 fps in most of them on G3D, so even though you may lose low persistence (aka get blur), they will be quite playable. Just like anything VR, you need to render 75 fps in 3d for low persistence, so modern games will have issues, but with your rig lots of games in that list will work fine. If you have patience left over from doing The Primary Monitor Force D3D11 Dance from made for rift. I'm in the second camp mainly because of the price combined with it not working with a number of the titles it claims to work with. For example Battlefield 4 had broken shadows while in Witcher 3 shadows were simply auto-disabled by VorpX. It has a great many fans but those who don't like it, REALLY don't like it. So for most real 3D games I tested with Vorpx I had either broken stereo 3D effects or they were simply turned off.
#VORPX FORUMS DRIVER#
Yeah, your computer will be reasonably fine for vorpx. While Vorpx is a great stereo 3D driver it lacks of a dedicated community fixing stereo effects. Here you go, though it's not updated with the latest titles Yes, it matters, G3D has much better 3D effect but it can be taxing for the computer, while Z3D is almost free, but looks worse (depends of the game).
